Protector drone

[edit]

Can someone please add the protector drone to the list of RAF aircraft. The template is confusing and I don't know how to do it. https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/first-new-british-protector-drone-arrives-on-uk-soil RAFRegtRockApe (talk) 03:44, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

More organised and easy to find list of aircraft

[edit]

Currently the lists of aircraft on this page are generally muddled together regardless of things like their role and purpose. Wouldn't it look more tidy and make aircraft easier to find if aircraft are split in their own sections on the list, like combat aircraft, trainers, transport/tanker aircraft, helicopters etc. For example if you view the history of the list layout from say back in 2010 the aircaft listed are in their own respective categorised sections. I dont think what is already a number of small lists needs to be split further. If you are that intersted in roles then you can easily sort by the role coloumn. MilborneOne (talk) 18:18, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This news - ukdefencejounral is a blog site - article says 17 not 18 so far as of July 2019.

Pictures?

[edit]

Why were the pictures that used to accompany the list removed? For example on the older revisions from roughly 5+ years ago there was a picture of the aircraft alongside the name, type, quantity etc for example. If there is no reason why not wouldn't it be better to expand the page more with pictures and make it look less blank and basic with pictures of the aircraft instead of just a muddled list. 154 new aircraft order

[edit]

an order of 154 new aircraft has been placed by RAF command as of the 8th march 2023, these will be obtained to meet the delays in the tempest programme and to facilitate the need for maritime security and nato joint operational status.

I can see/find no substantial supporting evidence of this. If the RAF were ordering such a big new quantity of Typhoons (more than doubling the current inventory), it would be all over the news, and would be being spoken about by govt ministers.

Please remove the erroneous entry, or provide substantial support/evidence that it is indeed happening. 86.16.220.71 (talk) 10:36, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
