Mung Daal's Age

[edit]

In the entry under Chef Mung Daal, it discusses his age, saying that he is elderly and is at least 450 years old. In the episode "Chowder's Catering Company", near the end of the episode, Mung can be heard saying to Chowder "Who knows? We could all be working for YOU one day!". This implies that he has many more years that he is expected to live, which is against what anyone who would read the article would assume. I think that the entry should include, instead of "and he celebrated 450 years of marriage to Truffles (see below)", it should say "and he celebrated 450 years of marriage to Truffles (see below), though he could be expected to live many years longer.", or something to that effect. Expectations mean nothing for fictional characters who don't age, what we do know he is at least 450 years but the rest is conjecture. treelo radda 21:35, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Minor characters

[edit]

Now that there's a separate page for the cast of Chowder, should we also cover other, minor characters? Such as Pate, Ceviche (both of whom are set to appear in future episodes, according to creator), as well as background characters such as Kiwi, King of the Sky, etc? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cartoon-Fan (talkcontribs)

Doubt it, the issue before wasn't one regarding article length but simple notability and even with mentions from Greenblatt on his blog regarding them, I don't think all of a sudden the non-notable gain notability due to a spinout. If they become notable in their own right then why not but I won't give much credence to the idea of Kiwi or King of the Sky getting a mention. treelo radda 02:16, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think any character that has been given a name and occurs more than twice should be included. The repetition should present enough observational opportunity to give some kind of cursory entry about their role and personality, which in turn will reveal more about Chowder's world and the cartoon in general. Also I would include any named characters that were central to an entire episode such as the Dreaded Lead Farfel. Also, including some minor characters can clear up confusion, such as the gender of Ceviche.Characters that have the most cursory roles, such as the Bluenana(who was not revealed to be a sentient character until the end) and the Bluenana mother, I would omit, as again they do not have proper names or recur multiple times.Rondelite (talk) 23:54, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
We're not here to act as a free-wheeling fansite, that's what Wikia is for, to handle the garbage we don't want or can't have. A bottom end of two appearances seems too low for inclusion to me and one-time characters, no matter how important to an episode plot they are, are definitely not. It's also been shown Cerviche is male twice but is besides the point, there's minor and there's non-notable minor. There is room for a few more characters but not for the likes of Hamhock or Mr. Fugu for instance. treelo radda 00:56, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't care about the other minor characters, but at least Chest Nut, Paté and Ceviche should be included. Paté has appeared in at least three episodes, being mentioned by name in two of them and Chest Nut has appeared in many episodes, always with the plot of the episode being around him (e.g., Chowder Loses His Hat, The B.L.T.s).--Nogardmili (talk) 16:27, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's moving to the point where a few minors can be added, probably not to the extent of Paté but Ceviche and Chestnut seem a lot more viable for inclusion. Add them if you feel they're notable enough. treelo radda 16:47, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gespacho Being a Wooly Mammoth

[edit]

There is evidence to support Gespacho being a wooly mammoth. In the recent "Hey, Hey It's Knishmas" episode, Chowder states "I made it out of a bunch of wooly mammoth hair I found in the Knish Kringle suit," which was previously worn by Gespacho. (Lappi486 (talk) 13:04, 4 January 2009 (UTC))[reply]

That's not evidence, that Chowder said it doesn't really back it up much further. Even if we yield to your ability to remember things we also remember, is this the first time that Gazpacho's species has been mentioned? I think so and lots of gags are made on things which never come up again. Not that we disagree with him being a mammoth but right now it's fairly baseless guesswork. treelo radda 13:51, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

what about in the episode brain freeze gazpacho was on all fours and he used his nose like a trunk and they were calling him a woolly mammoth —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aslan10000 (talkcontribs) 05:08, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kimchi

[edit]

Found that Cartoon Network Southeast Asia's Korean subtitle feed calls Kimchi as "지지" (Jiji). I think because it does not look like the actual Kimchi at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 221.165.100.241 (talk) 05:44, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lacking

[edit]

Gorgonzola's (sp...) charachter description is lacking, along with Panini. Could we have more depth, please? I don't have the info, but I'm sure someone else does. --MinaBlues 13:29, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where are these errors? Jeffrey Mall (talkcontribs) - 18:48, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. The request is currently too vague to be acted upon. Intelligentsium 19:36, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you change the redirect from the term 'shnitzel' so that it at least gives an option to go to the 'schnitzel' article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.175.12.250 (talk) 00:37, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
