Lepa Brena

[edit]

This question should be moved to Lepa Brena, where user Demir ALSO added youtube as reference. Solve the question there, and everything should be the same in other articles like this. --WhiteWriterspeaks 22:37, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest this article be merged with Kombank Arena

[edit]

A listing of every single event held at this place is pure trivia and fails WP:INDISCRIMINATE. Plus all these events are located on the linked reference site. I suggest trimming this to the most important events and merging this with the Kombank Arena article, which is very short on information, otherwise this list will go on forever. I strongly disagree. This page has been nominated for deletion a few months ago and the result of the discussion was keep.--Vitriden (talk) 19:28, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
5 people voted to keep 7 months ago, some arguing the list was finite. That is wrong as it keeps growing as the events keep growing. It was "kept" as some of the info is good to have, but most is absolute trivia and what is not should be on the main article page to help our readers. Someone mentioned that it has strict inclusion criteria...no it doesn't. This is an easy merge reconciliation and I can't see why any other conclusion should be made. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:59, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You gave absolutely no counterargument, you just state your opinion. If you want to merge, that's legitimate, but you'll have to be more persuasive and state some arguments for that...--Vitriden (talk) 21:16, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That would be incorrect. You have not stated why this article is encyclopedic as opposed to just a never-ending list of trivial events. Fyunck(click) (talk) 23:05, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What is your definition of "trivial"? Why do you consider your opinion that these events are trivial to be something carved in stone and something we should all be obliged to confirm? I don't find these events trivial. And I'd like to see which method of distinction (between trivial and non-trivial events) you propose. I really can't think of any that wouldn't be arbitrary by definition. And if you keep some events, and remove the others, based on some arbitrary criteria, you will just butcher this article and make it less informative, with no improvement whatsoever.--Vitriden (talk) 00:39, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • oppose to merge. The list is too long. If someone wants to trim it to "some notable events" to be mergeable, they must present clear criteria why would some events be notable, and others not. And these criteria must be discussed in this talk page. If the list comes down to, say, 5 events, you are welcome to merge even without asking.-No.Altenmann >t 14:18, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This is just a continual list of events that will never end. If they were important events that would be one thing, but they aren't. You don't have articles with every concert held at the Hollywood Bowl. It's ridiculous just as this is.
Excuse me, is your objection based on the fact that "(t)his is just a continual list of events that will never end"? Well, guess what - Wikipedia is a work in progress. Of course it will never end (or, at least, until the Arena is closed for good). Of course, when there is a new event, I (or someone else) will add it to the list. But guess what - we will add new presidents of the United States to the List of Presidents of the United States whenever a new one is elected, too. The time passes and new events happen all the time - that's how this world works, you know. Secondly, if we don't have an article with every concert held at the Hollywood Bowl, that's because nobody created it - not because it's not needed. Someone might need it. And, in the end, your main objection remains the same - "it's ridiculous". As I've already stated, that's your opinion. Please refer to the guidelines, and tell us all what's wrong with this article. Please, enlighten us.--Vitriden (talk) 00:39, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
