the first Indian footballer to score 50 international goals

[edit]

There is no doubt that Sunil Chhetri is the first Indian footballer to score 50 international goals, but the ref used (http://indianexpress.com/article/sports/football/sunil-chhetri-becomes-first-indian-to-score-50-international-goals/) was dated 16th June 2015. That was the 47th goal on the list. This wikipage needs a paragraph to explain the counting used in the list and account for the discrepancy. A better ref to support the 50th goal is needed. --PFHLai (talk) 10:26, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Real Count of Sunil Chettri's Goal and real First Indian footballer to score 50 goals

[edit]

Please, don't give argument for below provided queries through through, this newspaper say this and that, today newspaper just make news from twitter, so please.

First Sunil Chettri's goal in the Nehru cup 2012, 2 September, is not cosidered in the list, why, FIFA considered it as official Match[1] Only QATAR MATCH IS NOT LISTED AS FIFA 'A' MATCH BUT CAMEROON MATCH INDEED

Secondly, why is Sunil Chettri being cosidered as the first Inidian to score 50 goals, when its not true. Pradip Kumar Banerjee achieved that feet much before his birth.[2] and highest goal scorer where its again PK Banerjee only 65 goals from 86 matches.[3] Dey subrata (talk) 21:21, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for providing the sources. I kind of agree about Cameroon matches, but I am not sure about PK Banerjee, because I don't think indianfootball.de would qualify as a reliable source. I hope other editors pitch in with their thoughts. cc: @ArsenalFan700: Coderzombie (talk) 04:19, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank for Responding Coderzombie (talk). cc: @ArsenalFan700: But that indiafootball.de is the online plat form where you can find old of oldest match report[4][5], (another is rsssf.com) indian squads, player information, this is prepared by Arunuva Chaudhuri[6][7] one of best and renowned Indian sports journalist, informations provided by non other than Novy Kapadia[8],renowned Indian sports journalist, author and commentator, Joydip Basu who is another sport journalsit worked for Telegraph, even retired Indian footballers like, Derek D'souza, Hnery Menezes or foreign footballer who played in Indian league like Chima Okurie. These are very well researched documents and you can see where there is no information they kept it vacant didn't fill up with wrong information, so i think they are very reliable. and I don't have any doubt on this journalist of Arunuva Chaudhuri and Novy kapadia (he is kind of encylopedia of sports in India).

We need a consensus here, to change where ever mistakenly wrong info is provided. Thank you please do reply, whoever wants.

@Dey subrata, Minor improvements to the articles are NOT "experiments". No one holds authorship over any article here on Wikipedia so please don't act like one and assume good faith on other editors too. Hemant DabralTalk 18:17, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hemant Dabral Not about authorship. You did not produce any reason of your edit. All these tables were placed accordingly with much concensus while FLC promotion. So please address why you need those changes. He to Chhetri is ok. But why those changes in the box. I don't see any need. Dey subrata (talk) 18:20, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Changes are made in such order;
  1. No. of Goals, succeeded by
  2. No. of Appearances.

Just like the other tables below. Hemant DabralTalk 18:27, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hemant Dabral Correct, kept your changes Dey subrata (talk) 18:35, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Win-loss colour scheme in the goals table

[edit]

@Drat8sub, What's the rationale behind removing the win-loss colour scheme in the goals table here, while other players' list of international goals has the same colour scheme displayed.
