Delaware State Shields?

[edit]

I still think that the special Delaware state shields should be used. Here's a picture that shows why:

The D-141 shield's font is Series D, not Series C like the Elongated circle shield. —Preceding unsigned comment added by HighwayMaster (talkcontribs) 23:55, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's a bad example. States have a separate specification for guide signs than for highway markers. I can show one example if so desired. —Fredddie 00:20, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In reality, there are inconsistencies in how DE routes are signed on both guide signs and route markers. I have seen three-digit routes use a mix of oval and elongated circles and a mix of Series C and Series D for route number fonts. For example, here is a route signed with Series C and here is a route signed with Series D. If you want the shields changed, you need to find the official sign specifications from DelDOT. Delaware Route 1C

[edit]

This highway was designated between 1974 and 1996, and is now decommissioned. Where was it?Alexlatham96 (talk) 07:41, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t ever recall a DE 1C existing in Delaware. I know the other suffixed routes of DE 1 (DE 1A, DE 1B, DE 1D) are located in the Rehoboth Beach area. Dough4872 13:29, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
