Lloyd's patent is for a much earlier scope protector than the stramlined mounting system appearing on his commercial rifles.

The comments about lower grouping potential for Lloyd rifles have some merit, as the scope mount may well have prevented the receiver from returning to exactly the same position for each shot (See Vaugh: "Rifle accuracy facts") —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.251.236.13 (talk) 23:59, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
