The name of "Lydia Scott" has been overplayed in some online sources, including in Nettleton's IMDB biography. According to an interview of Nettleton appearing in The Boston Globe on November 26, 1967:

"One time, when I was 16, I got the idea of changing my name to Lydia Scott. I fell in love with the sound of the name. I used it once in a play and then discarded it."Don Columbia (talk) 17:51, 23 August 2020 (UTC) Don Columbia[reply]

In an interview of Nettleton published in The Greenville News (SC) on February 29, 1964, the following was reported:

"Like many women of today, she is interested in ways to stop smoking, although she already has embarked on a 'cut-down program.' She admits that when she is before the camera she has to watch her diet . . . ." Don Columbia (talk) 20:04, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
