What is an image of Rei Ayanami doing at the bottom of this page? She doesn't belong here. 64.69.127.136 19:44, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Connection with Slayers

[edit]

This article should be changed a bit. Lost Universe is not related at all with Slayers, they're two different series. All they have in common are just some names, but just that, names, neither characters nor Gods or anything. Kanzaka just used those names because he liked them, but the characters (or objects, ships or whatever) with those same names are NOT the same beings. [unsigned]

The connection is not obvious in the anime, but is made in the original novels. Since the creator of both has established the connection in the original source, it's considered official. CFLeon (talk) 22:59, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

http://lost-universe.rightstuf.com/interview.html Since its debut, many fans have had questions about LOST UNIVERSE. So when we had the opportunity to pose some of your “most frequently asked questions” to Mr. Kazuto Imanishi, who served as a producer for both LOST UNIVERSE and SLAYERS, we jumped at the chance!

Q1. There are several crossovers (connections) between the Slayers and the Lost Universe series. Were they meant to be a special treat for Hajime Kanzaka’s fans? Or is there some deeper connection between the two series?

The three Slayers TV series turned out to be spectacularly popular. Lost Universe was given to the production staff as a gift of gratitude. As you say, there is no fundamental connection between it and Slayers. The pieces you do see every so often are the production staff having fun.

Kane's name

[edit]

Many people spell Kane's name Kain, just poke around the web a bit. There's also a fansubbed release of the series where it's spelled Kain all the way through. Kane is correct, there's a paper seen in one episode with his name spelled Kane. I laughed a lot because most of the time on the Japanese audio it sounds like everone's calling him Kane Brueliver or Bruereaver.

Amalgamate pages?

[edit]

I'd suggest joining this page with its sub-pages of list of characters and list of epeisodes. Those pages are orphaned from the rest of wikipedia and there's plenty of room for their info on this page. --Dakinijones (talk) 09:28, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that List of Lost Universe characters be merged into Lost Universe. The characters list only has about ten characters, with about 4-5 of them (Kain, Millie, Nina, Rail) being main character notable and the rest (Stargazer) being antagonist types that only appear towards the end of the series. There are only 4 light novels, 4 manga volumes, and one season's worth of episodes. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:50, 18 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What would you merge though? I am totally unfamiliar with the series so I wouldn't know what info is important and what isn't. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 02:54, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The character list should go back to the main article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:34, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
