Two huge needs

[edit]

1) Someone, preferably persons with ties to the University, needs to decide if whether, for the purposes of this article, it is "LA Tech" or "La Tech". Obviously, in the real world it has been and is both, but in this article at least, it needs to be one or the other and not vary from paragraph to paragraph.

2) There needs to be in the article some documented explanation of why men's teams are "Bulldogs" and women's teams are "Lady Techsters", as this difference is somewhat unusual. 72.104.150.0 (talk) 20:58, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It should be "La Tech" based on the pronunciation. I'll make the necessary changes. -AllisonFoley (talk) 08:38, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

University and athletic names

[edit]

There is a discussion in which you might be interested, regarding the university and athletics names used within the University of Louisiana System, at Talk:University of Louisiana System#University and athletic names. Cheers, UW Dawgs (talk) 15:33, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
