Question about pictures

[edit]

Hey there! I don't know if you know, but I'd thought I'd ask. I notice that Lucas Cavallini's picture is from Canada's Flickr account and I just wanted to know if that means I could use those pictures for the other Canadian players? It seems like they just need to be attributed, but is there anything special I need to do? I've never uploaded a picture before and I just want to be sure it won't get taken down and I do it correctly.Vince193 (talk) 15:12, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Vince193: I looked at the picture, File:Lucas Cavallini (22635551767).jpg and the image was reviewed and you'll see "This image was originally posted to Flickr by canadasoccer at https://flickr.com/photos/46765827@N08/22635551767. It was reviewed on 14 June 2021 by FlickreviewR 2 and was confirmed to be licensed under the terms of the cc-by-sa-2.0." That means it can be used on Wikipedia. So for example, If I wanted to use Canada Soccer's recent pictures from March 2022 for guys like Kamal Miller, Alistair Johnston and Ismael Kone, I could? As long as I upload it in the manner the Cavallini picture was? Vince193 (talk) 17:50, 30 March 2022 (UTC) Vince193 (talk) 17:50, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, I'm seeing that for some reason that one particular photo is usable but the rest aren't.Vince193 (talk) 23:47, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It depends what copyright they are used on Flickr. Walter Görlitz (talk) 05:24, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
