Miguel

Why is her son called Miguel Bose, and does not have his father's surname ? -- Beardo (talk) 19:02, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know - however my mum told me that the gossip at the time was that he disliked his father (a notorious womaniser), so he choose to use his mother's name (in Spain kids legally have both parents' surnames). 173.206.231.71 (talk) 20:06, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Legally he does appear to have the father's surname, but it's one of the most common in the world, so it is not surprising why as an entertainer he would go by the maternal surname. This is not particularly uncommon, see how former prime minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero was known by his maternal surname as it was much less ambiguous.
