Confusing edits

[edit]

Recent reversions: please discuss.

  • "Kevin" -- WP seems the only source for a middle name. What's the reason for inclusion? (Down with citogenesis.)
  • Youth career: from an interview.

@Sj: The middle name is sourced in the early life section; you moved the reference citing it to the lead in this edit. I would appreciate it if you could please restore it. I would also note that you've added some unsourced content in this edit, such as the Billingham Sythonia appearances and goals in the infobox, and the claim that "In 2018 he moved to York City, where he played for two years, with a brief loan back to Blyth Spartans in 2020". Aha thanks @Mattythewhite: I'll restore. I missed that somehow. The Synthonia stat was already in the text (update: found better snippet from BBC); the loan already in the infobox. I'll make sure each is sourced if kept.
Style questions for you: What's the preferred style for citing stats that appear in both places: in the infobox, first mention in the text, or both? And re: the long citations in the final table, are there any aggregators that could be cited to condense them? Thinking about how to keep refs compact as the table grows. – SJ + 15:43, 8 April 2023 (UTC), 16:46, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
