Malherbe's flameback

I believe the correct and appropriate binomial would be C. delesserti (Malherbes, ?) - the date is in question because his 1849 name lacks a description and seems to be a nomen nudum - but he gave a full description with the binomial in 1862. Jerdon, Hume, E.C. Stuart Baker, and Salim Ali use C. delesserti (Malherbes, 1848/9). I have raised this with the IOC folks and will note updates here. Skip above comment. The examination of the type for delesserti shows that it was collected in Bengal and represents a guttacristatus. Shyamal (talk) 08:13, 6 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
