Place of death

[edit]

Two contradictory places of death were cited in this article, one New York City and the other Washington D.C. Furthermore a short bio on the Wisconsin Historical Society website seems to indicate that she died in Germany [1], and this image summary gives her place of death as St. Louis [2]. According to Carl Schurz's article 1876 was between his periods in Washington as a Missouri Senator and as the Secretary of the Interior and before he moved to New York so it stands to reason that the Schurz's may have been residing in St. Louis at the time. On the other hand this[[3]] gives Margareth's grave site as being in New York. This seems to give credence to the assertion that she died there, although it is possible that she was re-interred when Carl moved to New York. Therefore I have taken the liberty of removing all mentions of her place of death and wish anyone willing to try to sort this out good luck.
