POV Dispute

[edit]

The fact should be addressed that all of the 12-step programs arose out of Protestant Christian beliefs that "God," which became "God as you understand him," could remove all "shortcomings."

Needless to say, any such religiously inspired organization (such as AA or "marijuana anonymous" deserves to be addressed in the CULT section of Wikipedia.

I dispute the claim that this article is "objective."—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.225.14.188 (talkcontribs)

Agreed.

Furthermore, the part about the 12 traditions mentions it was based on AA, and then goes on to talk about facts better suited for the AA article. I will remove it, as it doesn't actually discuss MA at all.--Cafeeine (talk) 11:00, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the 12 Traditions section and added a comment on the 'History' section with the information directly relevant to this article.--Cafeeine (talk) 11:04, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MA is also Methadone Anonymous

[edit]

As seen here. Article for Methadone Anonymous and distinction needed. -- OlEnglish (Talk) 23:07, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MA is many things. There once was a Methadone Anonymous article and it was deleted, but there's enough Google Scholar results to make an article if someone was motivated enough to do the research. -- Scarpy (talk) 23:06, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
