Carlos Conde

[edit]

Currently questioning the contents from "Radio Times". Under the section titled "Analysis" it reads, "Carlos Conde, a professor in Colombia, stated that he did a test using pictures of Chapman's adopted family and capuchin monkeys that strongly suggested that Chapman was telling the truth."

I followed the link to the article that came from and it reads, "But Colombian professor Carlos Conde said the tests he conducted using pictures of capuchin monkeys and of her adoptive family demonstrated to him that was she telling the truth. “The response was very striking,” he says. “It strongly suggests that you’ve had a direct relationship with these animals and your emotional memory is strongly associated with those experiences.”"

There is no demonstration of what Carlos Conde is talking about and the statement is vague at best. I'm not a scientist, but a scientist should be able to explain how photos of her adoptive family would have anything to do with capuchin monkeys. I mean really, what's going on here?

Is there any proof that Marina was a feral child? I just watched a Vice News piece on feral children that includes her and she says there is proof but doesn't say what it is.

Found a blog post recapping the situation (but not properly citing its source, sigh) which claims that Conde did a polygraph-equivalent revealing that her internal emotional reaction to 'photo of capuchin monkeys' is equal to that of her internal emotional reaction to "photo of adoptive family", but not to "photo of random humans". The blog post does indicate more sources, perhaps? DS (talk) 01:25, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Leaving the brothel

[edit]

In this video interview (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jw7T3AgcXvs) MC says somewhat different things than our Wik narrative, e.g., she says she ran away from the brothel, not that she was expelled. 136.36.180.215 (talk) 04:11, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

millions of children?

[edit]

The article says that millions of children were kidnapped during the Violencia, yet there is no source given. When I clicked on the link to the Wik article on the Violencia and searched with the words children and kidnapped, I got no hits. 136.36.180.215 (talk) 04:13, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
