Nickname
[edit]Regarding the repeated reverts by Tewapack, please see the following Wikipedia article:
The Forgotten Man of Australian Golf
This Sporting Life was an Australian radio show that ran for over 20 years and was responsible for producing nicknames for many Australian sportspeople and athletes.
"The forgotten man" nickname came about as a result of Hensby claiming in a newspaper article that he has been forgotten by the Australian people and was a topic discussed over some months by the presenters of the program as they charted Hensby's decline in the world rankings from ~200 - ~300 at the time (around mid 2008).
Please refrain from reverting the information pertaining to the commonly known nickname of Hensby in his native Australia
- You've got to come up with a better reference than the one provided to support this nickname. The list on This Sporting Life page is unreferenced as well. See WP:VERIFY and WP:RS. Tewapack (talk) 14:56, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
- No worries - I've added in two more references. There are a host more though are from sources that might not be accepted (radio stations, people's personal websites etc) Judas goat (talk) 13:31, 29 July 2014 (AEST)
