Markel CorporationMarkel Group Inc. – Markel Corporation has changed its name to Markel Group Inc. To learn more, you can read this press release: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/markel-corporation-to-change-name-to-markel-group-inc-301824832.html MarkelGroup (talk) 17:17, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose, until it is reliably demonstrated in third-party, independent sources that the new name is the new common name. (Press release, or republication of the press release not counted.) Also WP:NCCORP dictates that the article name to be moved to should be Markel Group. – robertsky (talk) 19:04, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Markel CorporationMarkel Group – The company legally changed it's name from Markel Corporation to Markel Group Inc. This is evident on any independent source that references the company's stock ticker, MKL. • Support. Looks fine to me. News sources seem to have mostly switched to saying the new name, and the common name was probably already just "Markel" anyway (Markel redirects here), so the additional word is largely just there for disambiguation (with its subsudiaries or people with the name Markel (name)). {{replyto|SilverLocust}} (talk) 07:31, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
