Mr. Milano's press agent, who originally created the article on Wikipedia years ago, used the same text as a profile for Mr. Milano's MySpace page. Mr. Milano is one of Italy's most important ethnomusicologists and japanologists. His essays and researches have given a significant contribution to musicology and oriental studies in his country. Also he has been writing extensively on African American culture and jazz music, during the 80's, and is member of the international jury of the DownBeat Annual Critics Poll.
