Overall: @TonyTheTiger: Good article. AGF on sources since I can't access ProQuest. Onegreatjoke (talk) 21:18, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
- User:Onegreatjoke Please double-check. You should be able to access the sources.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 22:23, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

- I just checked and TWL access doesn't let you see this source, so it will have to be someone who has access via some other method. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 20:32, 2 April 2023 (UTC)

- I like this for quirky, but if we found a better quirky hook, I am not opposed to moving it to another slot. Bruxton (talk) 14:35, 10 April 2023 (UTC)

Prose
[edit]- Wikilink basketball in the lead as is standard for basketball player articles.
- I did not realize this was standard.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:32, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- In § High school, recommend opening with his full name as it is his first mention in the body.
- O.K.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:33, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- Wikilink 8th grade, basketball and varsity team for unfamiliar readers.
- You already asked me to link basketball above. Others linked.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:46, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- "In 2007, the Chicago Sun-Times has dubbed" – remove has. Relatedly:
- Thx.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:48, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- Wikilink West Aurora.
- Linked above.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:49, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- "Hicks (who went by the nickname Skip at that time)" – recommend "Hicks, who went by the nickname Skip at that time," instead to avoid a repetition of parentheses with the next sentence.
- OK-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:50, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- § DePaul is missing details on the DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball team and when he transferred there. Also, DePaul should be wikilinked here as first mention in the body.
- Fixed. I think.--~
- Wikilink Northern Illinois University.
- Linked above.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:52, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- "All-American by Associated Press" – recommend the Associated Press.
- Thx.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:54, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- The second paragraph in § Northern Illinois reads a lot like a sport statistics website instead of an encyclopaedic entry IMO. How about instead writing it like "all-time leader in career points with 1,513 scored, single-season points scored with 682, single-MAC conference game points with 42 against Kent State on March 7, 1977," etc.? The parentheses for the MAC player of the week sentence are fine.
- I'm kind of indifferent to that change.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:14, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- Fair enough. ツ LunaEatsTuna (💬)— 02:16, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
