[edit]

This article does not address the history of the clan, which is essential. The personal situations described in this article do not relate to the greater clan in the slightest. As a result, I feel this article is a poor representation of the importance and historical significance of the McGillycuddy Clan.

Source Issues

[edit]

While the article "references" a book called Vanishing Kingdoms, it does not provide inline citations, so it is exceedingly difficult to determine what information came from that source. Additionally, the one actual in-line citation refers to a self-published source - namely what appears to be the homepage for the current Chieftan. Recommend removing ALL WP:BLP information, and enhancing the historical information, if possible. ΣΑΠΦ (Sapph)Talk 13:35, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proper McGillycuddy History

[edit]

If anyone wants to take some pride in their McGillycuddy surname, this article needs to be completely rewritten from the start. There are plenty of good quality academic sources available that you can use to rewrite this article. I suggest you use the following book, which is available for free in the Internet Archive;
McGillycuddy papers : a selection from the family archives of "the McGillycuddy of the Reeks" : with an introductory memoir : being a contribution to the history of the county of Kerry.
