Pre Season Challenge Cup

[edit]

Can people please stop forgetting Victory has won the original Australian Cup (A-League Pre-Season Challenge Cup!!!! Victory won the last one in 2008, and for some reason it is not being properly recognised. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Victoryboy (talkcontribs) 03:21, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Team of the decade heading

[edit]

As it currently stands, the heading for Team of the Decade looks like it supports no text (because the diagram is off to the left & appears unrelated). Could it be moved? ...   CJ [a Kiwi] in  Oz  08:26, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Youth players

[edit]

I removed youth players Ben Carrigan, Thiel Iradukunda, and Majak Mawith from the first team squad section and was reverted by Simione001 who said "these players have senior team squad numbers". However I see no evidence of this anywhere. The references of the section (Soccerway squad list and Melb V squad list) don't mention them, while their individual pages on Soccerway (Carrigan, Iradukunda, Mawith) only mention a handful or 2 of caps in the NYL. Where is the evidence they have senior team squad numbers? --SuperJew (talk) 05:22, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Took me about 2 seconds to see that Majak Mawith is No.40 on the Victory website [1] ditto Iradukunda [2] and Carrigan [3] ...   CJ [a Kiwi] in  Oz  05:33, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also Iradukunda was an unused sub in a FFA Cup match with the same number [4] ...   CJ [a Kiwi] in  Oz  06:08, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yet still they are not on the Melb V senior squad list.
And the fact that he was an unused sub in a FFA Cup match against a semi-professional team doesn't mean he's in the senior squad for the season. A) FFA Cup is a pre-season competition for A-League clubs. B) Even if he would've played he wouldn't pass our WP:NFOOTBALL guideline for notability. --SuperJew (talk) 19:23, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
