Western Temples Section

[edit]

I'm removing the section with the map and list of temples in the Western US. While it's a neat map and list it isn't the sort of thing that belongs in an article about this specific temple - it would be more suited for an article about a list of temples or the like. Is the temple also a museum?

[edit]

I am wondering if the temple can be listed as a museum in the categories. Does it have a museum in an annex? Adrian Comollo (talk) 11:54, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, there are no museums inside of or physically connected to LDS temples. Some temples (including the one in Mesa) do have Visitor Centers; these may be found on the same grounds, but are in completely separate buildings, and have a different purpose; they are not really museums, but are closer to that than are temples. The LDS Church does have the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City, adjacent to Temple Square. Additionally they do have museums at various LDS-related historic sites. -- 208.81.184.4 (talk) 21:34, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
