not autobiography

[edit]

User Hairhorn ~flagged this article on artist Mia LaBerge as autobiography "This article has been confirmed to be an autobiography..." and edit-commented, "main author also uploaded the photos, all are tagged as own work by uploader." I'm that main author and photo-uploader. I am not Mia LaBerge, thank you. Cheers.~

I have also added content to Sally Mann, Mathew Brady, Alannah Currie, and others. I am none of those people either.

I posted the text within the ~tildas~ above to the Hairhorn User Talk page and Hairhorn promptly removed it (archive). I remain not Mia LaBerge.

Perhaps an editor other than Hairhorn can remove the false "confirmed to be an autobiography" tag since clearly he won't remove it himself. Cheers again. Cramyourspam (talk) 18:37, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Cramyourspam.[reply]

If you're not Mia LaBerge, you should not be claiming the copyright on her paintings, as you do here, here, and here, unless you can demonstrate that you are somehow the copyright owner. Hairhorn (talk) 22:28, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OH. Well now I see what you're on about. I can see how that must look. But no. She did expressly okay them for WP use when asked. I loaded them with no Copyright since they were WP okayed ---not like she would otherwise have licensed 10,000 copies of the lo-res photos of paintings there for t-shirt use or anything so not like artist loses anything. And I remain not Mia LaBerge ---nor Mathew Brady, Tipper Gore, etc. Cramyourspam (talk) 00:29, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Cramyourspam[reply]
You claim on the image files to be the copyright owner, simply asserting permission to copy is never sufficient; see wp:copyrights. I'm guessing you also have a conflict of interest. Hairhorn (talk) 02:08, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
