Nationality vs ethnicity in the lead sentence

[edit]

I added a fact to the subjects nationality and it was removed with an edit summary of Of course she is Japanese American, she and her family were placed in Japanese internment camps during WWII. I am wondering if the editor is conflating ethnicity and nationality. Ethnicity does not belong in the lead unless it is the reason for the subjects notability per MOSBIO. --Malerooster (talk) 22:16, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
