[edit]So, a source has been provided which confirms that Boudewijn de Geer is Mike's father - OK. What about Dirk Jan de Geer, his (apparent) greatgrandfather - well it is confirmed on Boudewijn's Dutch WP article that Dirk Jan is his grandfather, but I can't read Dutch well enough to get a reliable source for this - any help? - I'm a native speaker, and I haven't been able to find a single source confirming this. Obviously the unsourced assertion on the Dutch Wikipedia doesn't qualify as a reliable source. Aecis·(away) talk 17:26, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- True, and I would have thought that a professional footballer would have had mention somewhere of his famous grandfather, who was after all leader of the Netherlands...GiantSnowman 17:29, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- Exactly. Googling for +"mike de geer" +"dirk jan" gives only 8 hits, none of which mention the former prime minister, and the only sources that mention Boudewijn de Geer and Dirk Jan de Geer are Wikipedia and its mirrors. Aecis·(away) talk 18:23, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
