Is this still a lighthouse? Or is it just a light?

This clearly was a lighthouse. But now a number of sources refer to it as Mile Rocks Light. For example:

Is it still correctly called a lighthouse? Or given that the lighthouse proper was demolished 50 years ago, is it just a light these days? -- William Pietri (talk) 23:39, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why Mile Rocks? A mile from where?

The article says it's about a mile southwest of the GG bridge, which is incorrect. It's roughly 2.5 miles from the center of the bridge, and more than two miles from the south end, the closest point.
