Text and/or other creative content from this version of Department of the Missouri was copied or moved into Military Division of the Missouri with this edit. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.

This article was created because of errors in the original Department of the Missouri that asserted that that department was renamed the Division of the Missouri but was "still known as" the Department of the Missouri. Worse, a second article was created, Department of the Missouri (Indian Wars) that made using a move to correct the mistake the improper solution. The Department of the Missouri was and remained a subordinate part of the Military Division of the Missouri throughout its existence. So I went ahead and created the new article, and am adjusting content in the others to reflect.--Reedmalloy (talk) 06:25, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
