Merge proposal with Rouleauville

[edit]

I support the merge proposal made by Thivierr, the articles are clearly about the same location. signed, Rosguill talk 06:56, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support the merge - same place, and the Mission article may benefit from some of the historical background in Rouleauville. PKT(alk) 14:30, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: Perhaps I was mistaken. It seems en:Rouleauville is just a copy/paste machine translation of fr:Rouleauville, losing wiki formatting in the process, making the content worthless, since a person doing the merge should go directly to fr:Rouleauville. Also, there's a problem that French Wikipedia has both fr:Rouleauville and fr:Mission, Calgary (like we do). So, it's not clear what a merged article should link to in "fr".   Hopefully there's a bilingual person that can sort this stuff out. --Rob (talk) 15:02, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: as most might see from this article, Rouleauville was formerly its own municipality. I recently mapped the former boundaries of Rouleauville when preparing a historical annexation map of Calgary. I haven’t overlaid the community boundary for Mission to see if the two are coincident or not. If they vary, that might be reason enough to have separate articles. However, given that I saw so much unsourced content and the above observation about it being a translation from French Wikipedia, I support its recent move to draft space.
