Red links on dab page
[edit]Regarding the comment "we are not supposed to list red links on disambiguation pages
" (on the thread I posted 21:00, 15 April 2015 atWikipedia talk:WikiProject Japan#Geography: Mount Katsuragi),
Actually, under current guideline under Wikipedia:Red link#Disambiguation pages, it says that an exception is made there is some clear basis that the red linked article should be created, and since I've used the template to show that the corresponding ja articles exist, the criterion is reasonably met.
My own philosophy is that I should allow motivated users the chance to be the creators of red link articles, rather than for me to generate skeletal stubs. --Kiyoweap (talk) 18:53, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
Overzealous deletion activities
[edit]I've now placed two blue links in this dab page, which makes it an extra link beyond the speedy deletion criterion at WP:G6. Please don't try to speedy delete it based on what you believe the guideline says on your best recollection.
Most users I think appreciate I put some effort into translating this from the Japanese dab page and probably won't try to wipe it out without discussion, but I feel I have to fend against zealous deleters.
I have had the experience of having my dab deleted on the basis of an outdated citation of WP:G6 (the guideline's language no longer matched what the bot-generated message was claiming to be guideline). --Kiyoweap (talk) 19:15, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
