Speedy deletion notice

[edit]

According to the speedy deletion notice that was originally placed here, it may be removed once the article has been fixed and no longer qualifies for a speedy. I believe I have done so by making this into a proper stub for the movie Ms. 45. 23skidoo 00:51, 18 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Skidoo, I agree. I am removing the notice. rowley (talk) 21:16, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

category cult film

[edit]

The movie is popular ; also among feminists. However it isn´t a cult film. You tell me why it is one. --ThomasK 14:18, August 30, 2005 (UTC)

Maybe you should explain why it is not. I don't see how a film can't be both a popular feminist film and a cult film. Also, the movie is featured in the book Cult Movies 2 by Danny Peary and that should be enough justification. See also [1], plus [2] which is an article on Ms. 45 written by a journalist who covers cult cinema. There's also [3] which refers to the film as a cult classic. An article on Abel Ferrara here discusses his "cult classic" I could go on. Here's an article that refers to it as a "certified cult film" [4] And I can cite similar examples for Avalon, too, incidentally. 23skidoo 14:24, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I mixed this one with Ms-40, similar but a short film. I did saw Ms. 45, good movie indeed. Sorry for the inconvenience. However Avalon is indeed not a cult film, if so then there must be many of movies like this be a cult film. --ThomasK 14:46, August 30, 2005 (UTC)

Too short for 2 images

[edit]

There are now 2 images on this page, despite the article being only one paragraph long. This article needs to be lengthened to justify 2 images. 23skidoo 18:03, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article has been lengthened with a full plot synopsis and history sections. I notice that the second image has been removed, also. rowley (talk) 21:31, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong title

[edit]

Why do I bother, but hey: the title of the film is "Ms .45", not "Ms. 45".

189.130.201.31 (talk) 03:56, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. It should be titled Ms .45 (witness the film's opening credit typography), but the correction is being blocked by Wikipedia bureaucracy. rowley (talk) 21:29, 27 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reception

[edit]

The film currently holds an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with critics praising the film as a timeless piece of exploitation film making that over 30 years later has lost none of its impact upon the audience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Carps44 (talkcontribs) 07:42, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ms. 45Ms .45 – The title of the movie is intended to be a reference to the weapon (caliber .45) the main character is using in the film. IMDb also lists the movie under the suggested new name. 37.4.251.27 (talk) 20:57, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. Out of ten reliable sources with a topic about the movie, only two used Ms .45; even the film company that owns the movie has it as Ms. 45. Thinker78 (talk) 04:22, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose but there's no reason not to create redirects from the alternate spellings. This confusion about the films name seems to be notable itself, and should probably be included in the article. This source should prove helpful. -- Netoholic @ 09:26, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
