[edit]

The Track listing section is not currently accessible, as tracks 1, 4, 6, and 9 violate MOS:NOSYMBOLS by having unpronounceable symbols. I do not know how this can be fixed, or if the symbols will need to be removed, but I thought I should let everyone know that this is an issue. Thanks! @Doggy54321: What do you think instead of being made with emojis, being made with images (just like in "Colour Spectrum" in A Head Full of Dreams)?

@Lsn11: I like that idea. (File:A perfect SVG heart.svg) looks better for the heart, but the other images are good. Thanks for finding a solution! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 14:05, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Doggy54321: Okay, I added on the article! Lsn11 (talk) 14:24, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Album name

[edit]

Should the choice of name for the album be included with a link to Music of the spheres? John a s (talk) 01:05, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean? --GustavoCza (talk) 02:31, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Music of the spheres was formed centuries ago, and Coldplay named their album after it, but the article doesn't say anything about the album name.John a s (talk) 10:59, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New Page for "Biutyful"

[edit]

Would it make sense for someone to start a page for "Biutyful"? Sleeplessmason (talk) 05:36, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Singles

[edit]

So, I added again "Coloratura" and "Biutyful" after being removed for no reasons. Proof about its release? Sure! Both singles are still available for digital purchase on main digital stores:

Why promotional? What's a single and a promotional single? If promotional, nowadays (for someone), means "a digital single not sent to radios" why "People of the Pride", a track released as a single in the US, is not a real single? Discuss, please. 109.113.208.99 (talk) 19:13, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The band explicitly stated People of the Pride and Coloratura were not official singles. And your only source for Biutyful being a single is a digital download website which also says Flags is a single when the band only released the song outside of Japan because fans were asking for it. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 19:19, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sources about your talking? I haven't see anything like that. And iTunes is the most official platform for digital singles since 2006. 109.113.208.99 (talk) 19:20, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Chris saying People of the Pride is not a single (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvKMNz6f7HU&ab_channel=EXA96.9FM). The band announcing the album and stating Higher Power's follow up would be in September (https://web.archive.org/web/20210720150958/https://twitter.com/coldplay/status/1417501479263477770). GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 19:26, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"Coloratura" labeled as "album track" despite being (and still) available for digital download? Sounds weird. Probably because it's an over 10min song. But in this case iTunes is no longer official? How about the large number of digital singles released there? Not official? Mh. 109.113.208.99 (talk) 19:29, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Every track not inside an album is listed as a single on digital download stores. Unless you want to consider every remix they released as an official single. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 19:31, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you go to Coldplay's Spotify page, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is listed as a single, but that song was only ever released as part of the Mince Spies EP and as a B-side for the "Christmas Lights" 10th anniversary vinyl. "Murder" is listed as a single on Apple Music too, despite being a B-side for "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face". GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 19:35, 17 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And here are the Flags references too in case you were wondering.

Humankind

[edit]

edit humankind release as a single Netherlands

A song being played on radio stations or added to a radio station's playlist at their discretion doesn't make it a single. Read WP:PROMOSINGLE. If we look into other criteria, there's more information that support "Humankind" being a promotional single rather than a official one: it did not received the same amount of attention from Coldplay as "Higher Power", "My Universe" or "Let Somebody Go"; it only had one release format (in this case, radios in the Netherlands randomly played it); and the press releases have all referred to the song as "new music video" instead of "new single". Disambiguation needed

[edit]

hello I am not an experienced editor so I was wondering if someone could add a link to the "musica universalis/music of the spheres" disambiguation page 172.56.104.198 (talk) 22:42, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The link for the disambiguation page is not really necessary in this case. GustavoCza (talkcontribs) 22:44, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
