[edit]

Nellie Young was a notable pioneer in medicine and African American life. She was renowned as the first female Black doctor in the state of Maryland, and she was also known widely for her extensive civil rights work. Professional historians have written about Dr. Young, as seen in Fee, Shopes, and Zeidman's The Baltimore Book: New Views of Local History. Dr. Young clearly meets Wikipedia's notability requirements. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcd79 (talkcontribs) 14:19, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
