I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of New Castle Air National Guard Base's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "FAA":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 23:41, 20 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have just completed the B class checklist for the mil history project and believe that this article is almost a B class article. As mil hist project does not support C class ratings, it is therefore a Start class article. I believe that the article could be improved by expanding the history section to discuss more current operations, for it seems that the last date mentioned is 1958 and then there is a short paragraph that vaguely mentions recent history but doesn't make it very clear. Other suggestions include:

  • fix up the dead link;
  • move the pictures into a gallery at the bottom of the article so that they don't cause gaps in the text.

Just a few ideas. If you would like more in-depth comments, you might wish to submit the article to peer review at WH:MHPR. If you would like to have the article re-asssessed in the future, please add it to the list at WP:MHA. Hope this helps. AustralianRupert (talk) 06:15, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name while assigned to ADC

Recognizing that the name of the nearby city and the current name of the Air National Guard base are both "New Castle," contemporary documents from the period there was an active duty interceptor unit there refer to it as Newcastle Air Force Base. Are there reliable sources for the use of "New Castle" during this period? --Lineagegeek (talk) 11:43, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
