Eudokia Komnene

[edit]

He was married to Eudokia Komnene, her brother Alexios I Komnenos. Correct! But link of Eudokia Komnene adressing to daughter of the sebastokratōr Isaac Komnenos by his second wife, Irene Synadene.--User:Yzkoc (talk) 20:43, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Working Will aim to complete this review by tomorrow. Grondemar 03:23, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grondemar is mostly inactive right now, with the time he does have going to his FAC, as it should. As a result, I'll take over the review. I should have my comments up soon. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:22, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Here are the issues I found:

  • Philippopolis currently links to a disambiguation page, but not sure if anything can be done about it in this instance.
  • "In the turbulent period after the Battle of Manzikert (1071)," I'd just say ..Manzikert in 1071, parentheses don't help much there
  • "Already sometime before 1067, Nikephoros married Eudokia Komnene," Already feels a bit awkward; i'd just remove it.
  • "and might refuse to treat with him later" I'd prefer saying something like 'refuse to sign a treaty with' just to make it clearer.

I'll put the article on hold and will pass it when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 02:50, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the time! I think I've fixed the issues you raised. Is there anything else? As a non-expert on the subject, how does the article read in terms of style and clarity? Constantine 10:55, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There are parts where it feels a bit iffy, but I think that's more because of my attempting to juggle all the names and places rather than any actual problems. I'll read again to double-check, and I'll pass it if there are no further problems. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 13:08, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
After another read-through I see no issues. The prose feels a bit heavy, but on an 11th century historical figure there's really no way around that. As such I'll pass the article as a GA. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:34, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'll check the article again for the prose, and probably submit it for a copyedit. Thanks again for your time and best regards, Constantine 09:21, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
