Sports

[edit]

Is the Sports section really necessary? It seems to refer to the high school, which has its own page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.229.246.46 (talk)

I agree with you. I have moved the Sports section for this article into the Athletics section of the Niskayuna High School article. That article is more appropriate for the information than this article about the town, because:
  • not all of the Town of Niskayuna is in the Niskayuna Central School District;
  • the Niskayuna Central School District encompasses land that is not within the Town of Niskayuna;
  • all information in the section is about school-run sports rather than town-run sports.

Nothing is mentioned anywhere about the fact that Channel 6 is located in the town. According to the "elder" that live there, that was supposedly the place of the first tv broadcast. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.3.8.253 (talk) 16:34, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation needs to be added to this article

[edit]

Someone please add what the correct pronunciation is to this article.71.109.157.124 (talk) 19:25, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unclear info in Demographics section

[edit]

The demographics section reads:

There were Over 9000 households out of which 9000.1% had children under the age of 18...

Which is unclear, in that the first portion does not make sense. I do not recall the proper info so I cannot fix this. Can somebody fix? Rarkenin (talk) 21:55, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited Single Sourcing

[edit]

The bulk of this article appears to be taken mostly verbatim from the (somewhat inaccurate) 1976 official town history. This source should be cited and the language in the first section changed to either show the direct quotations or modified to a more appropriate history.MariaMitchell (talk) 03:11, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
