Request for move

[edit]
  • This article should really be moved, from "The Nits" to "Nits". The name of the band is Nits since around 1990 (and most other language Wikipedias list it as such, see for instance http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nits). But I can't do that, because "Nits" is a redirect page already (redirecting to the Nit disambiguation page). So we need an administrator to do the move. Who can do this? I have now submitted a request for this move at this page. Mark in wiki (talk) 19:37, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

re-working page

[edit]

I've been thinking about how to expand/re-work this page. I've made a few incremental changes in the last couple of months (when I fist looked at the page, there were zero citations--now there are a few). The page seems to have been added to incrementally, as the band's career continued, more albums released, etc. However, it seems that an unnecessary number of sections have been created in the process--many/most of which seem fairly arbitrary. I'm thinking of reducing/restructuring these. Also planning to add content about the various albums/phases of their career--drawn mostly from the few English language interviews/articles there are to be had (although they write/perform almost exclusively in English, their primary fan base is in continental Europe, so almost all reviews, interviews, etc. are in Dutch, French, or German). I may also break up the discography into a few sections (along the lines of the German-language Wikipedia page for the band). Lastly, I may do away with the timeline. I'm not sure how much it adds--and it's not comprehensive (and the release dates to make it comprehensive are not readily available; nor are the release date's already represented in the timeline cited. Since I'll be re-working most of the body text, I may work on it all offline, and make a rather substantial edit, at some point. It won't happen overnight. Let me know what you think.
