Notability

[edit]

Faustine definitely meets wikipedia's notability standards, with hundreds of articles about her work and many exhibitions in prominent venues. Propose removing notability template. BMAVP318 — Preceding unsigned comment added by BMAVP318 (talkcontribs) 15:04, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@BMAVP318: I added the template because the subject fails WP:NARTIST; specifically, none of her works are notable (in that we don't have a standalone article about them) and none of her work (from what I can see) is in a permanent collection. She's still living and unsurprisingly, much of this reads like it was written by fans. If you're making a claim that she passes WP:GNG, I'm not sure the bar is that low. That a maintenance template is present on the article only helps other Wikipedians see that the article needs work. The template is not a criticism of the subject or the editors that contributed to the article. It is only there to encourage improvement. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:28, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I understand. The articles are there. So I will work on this. Thanks for clarifying. BMAVP318 — Preceding unsigned comment added by BMAVP318 (talkcontribs) 15:36, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
