Marine Protected Area

Since November 2010, the Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan form the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area with the following boundary points:

  • 08° 38′ 34.63″ S, 115° 26′ 42.52″ E
  • 08° 41′ 05.82″ S, 115° 24′ 13.28″ E
  • 08° 45′ 46.33″ S, 115° 26′ 06.53″ E
  • 08° 51′ 39.59″ S, 115° 36′ 32.77″ E
  • 08° 46′ 25.54″ S, 115° 39′ 41.36″ E
  • 08° 40′ 46.33″ S, 115° 34′ 37.10″ E
  • 08° 38′ 46.33″ S, 115° 34′ 37.10″ E (fixed according to map, wrong caption in source)

From Sanur Port

  • Mola Mola Express Jl. Hang Tuah No.42, Sanur Kaja, Denpasar Sel., Kota Denpasar, Bali. Mola - Mola Express departs daily from Sanur beach to Nusa Penida twice a day which takes only 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Maruti fast boat A premium boat transfer company operating between Sanur beach to Nusa Penida Island and Nusa Lembongan Island.
  • Crown fast boat Jl. Matahari Terbit, Sanur Kaja, South Denpasar, Denpasar City, Bali.

From Serangan Port

  • Bali Eka Jaya. Jalan Setia Budi No.18, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali. Fast boat transfers among Bali, Nusa Lembongan, Lombok and Gili Islands.

From Padangbai Port

  • Daily public ferry. This ferry arrives in Sampalan at the Sampalan Ferry Terminal on the North-East corner of the island, just off of the main road.

From Nusa Lembongan

  • Public boats with the cheap price depart daily at 06:00 close to the suspension bridge between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. This can be a little worrying at times and are often very crowded.
