Tesco
[edit]Tesco is in the Roundhay council ward, so they are entitled to the name. In terms of traditional areas it is in Gledhow, facing Gipton Wood. It is well southwest of the Oakwood Boundary Road. Chemical Engineer (talk) 11:51, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Farmers Market
[edit]This seems too long and too much like advertising. As a recent and temporary feature it deserves a mention but not much more. There are lots of such markets.Chemical Engineer (talk) 16:10, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Oakwood, Leeds → Oakwood, West Yorkshire — WP:NCGN#England states that everywhere in apart from Greater London should be disambiguated as placename, ceremonial county→which would therefore meen Oakwood, West Yorkshire as Leeds is a city and a district/borough within West Yorkshire. Homan's Copse (talk) 19:52, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose for same reasons as Beeston, Leeds: while the above argument would work for Wetherby, which is a separate town within the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, Beeston is clearly a suburb of Leeds and hence should be identified with the city (with a small c) rather than the borough (City with a capital) or with the ceremonial county. — Amakuru (talk) 06:48, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose as above.--J3Mrs (talk) 10:24, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

- Strongly oppose WP:NCGN#England clearly states that the cemeremonial county form does not apply to, "localities which are unambiguously part of a larger town or city, in which case [[placename, town/city]] is used." Oakwood is a suburb of Leeds, surrounded by other suburbs. Nick Cooper (talk) 11:51, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
