Fair use rationale for Image:Tangosingle.jpg

[edit]

Image:Tangosingle.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Explanation of "(Tango)"

[edit]

Parenthesized expressions in titles are (other than in the case of disambiguating WP article titles) pretty unusual. It's hard to imagine that it needs no comment. This need is heightened by the use of

Objection (Tango) / Te Aviso, Te Anuncio (Tango)
in the lead sent, and the "Shakira" infobox at the bottom of the page
Objection /Te Aviso, Te Anuncio (Tango)
at the top of the "Single" infobox (upper-right corner of the page)
"Objection (Tango)" / "Te Aviso, Te Anuncio"
at the bottom of that same infobox

and

without the suffix (and with each title uncoupled from the other)
in all the occurrences in the readable-prose of the subsequent sections.

If there's a logic to all this, it needs to be explicated, bcz otherwise it makes the article a mess.

I'm in a particularly good mood today, so I decided to review just music articles! And, I love "Objection (Tango)" so I had to review this. Prism 17:22, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A lucky day for all of us nominators! :D --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Original research: Not present.
In depth

1. Lead

  • In the infobox, change "maxi cd single" to "maxi CD single"
Changed. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • In the first paragraph, "bandoneon" is italicized where it shouldn't be, since it was adapted to English (spanish is bandoneón)
I changed it to the Spanish one. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Second paragraph → please space "France." from "The song"
Spaced.

2. Background

  • Last paragraph: I don't think it was released on 6 July 2013... haha.
Oh god, what a silly mistake! Come to think of it, I remember changing it and it's even mentioned in the revision history. I've noticed sometimes WP doesn't update small changes. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remove italicizing from "bandoneon", like in the lead.
I changed this one to the Spanish one too. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

4. Critical reception

  • "weddingreception" → "wedding reception"
Changed. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

5. Commercial performance

  • Like I pointed out in the GA review for "Spinning Around", my English is not perfect, but I think you should change "Although not" to "Although it was not". Correct me if I'm wrong.
Right again :) --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

6. Music video

  • I'm not sure if you can use ATRL as a reliable source. I never saw it being used in any other article.
I checked before using it. There is one FA artice that cites it and one GA article that cites it. So I went ahead and used it --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

7. Live performances and usage in media

  • "Objection (Tango" → "Objection (Tango)"
Changed. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

8. & 9. Charts and certifications

  • Merge certifications into charts section like in the GA for "Spinning Around".
Merged. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Final comments

You really do write very well and it was an interesting read. I actually learned a bit more of a very important song of my childhood. Just correct the errors and I'll pass it. Maybe this can get to FA eventually. Prism 17:22, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your great reviews and comments! I really appreciate it. If you have any article at GAN I would love to review it for you. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 17:42, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for passing it! --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 18:15, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
