Template:Inappropriate tone says about half of what I want to say. For the remainder, please consider providing more context for the narratives. For example, the introduction could be a broader overview of Oliver's character and his place in the general structure of the series. The narratives, which make up the majority of current article content, should be placed in their episodic context. Some of the narrative description also needs more illustration; I tried to rewrite the following:

S.C. Ruffey told the other trucks to hold back, but little did he know that Oliver had a trick up his sleeve. Oliver gave one great heave, and "Wham!" S.C. Ruffey was torn apart. It taught the trucks to never disrespect an engine again.

But could not because I don't know what is happening based upon this description. Stephen Compall 02:00, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

I think that this should be merged with the Oliver bio on the List of Thomas & Friends railway engines page. JeffreyLoeber (talk) 22:08, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
