Why was the external link to a youtube excerpt from On the Jump deleted?
[edit]On March 24, 2013, Lugnuts deleted this link to a youtube excerpt from On the Jump: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dFFFfPa0Mo. Why was the link deleted?
- WP:NOTLINK. See the archives on WT:FILM too. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:52, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Could you be more specific? This is (item 1) from the NOTLINK article that you linked to: "Mere collections of external links or Internet directories. There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate. See Wikipedia:External links for some guidelines."
OK, was two links in the external links section what you thought was excessive? Did you think that actual video from the movie wasn't relevant to the topic? You might be right that there is something inappropriate about the link to this Wikipedia article but nothing you provided in your response makes it clear to me what that is.--Davefoc (talk) 20:06, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
