Neutrality

[edit]

The piece in the Independent is hardly neutral and I feel a little uncomfortable with terms like 'at will' considering Adams was only able to bribe a very few corrupt officers in the largest regional police force in the western world, the report makes no mention of actual infiltration, rather Adams gained intelligence from these corrupt officers and through them access to the NPC. Hardly 'at will' which suggests Adams and crew had access to Scotland Yard and the entirety of its staff which they didn't. As a result I have modified the piece to read a little more neutrally. The story is still breaking which behooves us to wait a while until all sides have had a chance to respond and that response reported by the media. 81.110.28.183 (talk) 17:53, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have added some details from the reports, though the points made above are well taken, the almost complete silence of other media sources is remarkable, given the extremely serious nature of the allegations, and the Met's tacit acknowledgement of a 12 year old story.Cpsoper (talk) 14:28, 13 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
