merge tagging
[edit]I am merging Ismaili District Boy Scouts Association here, as per Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting MoS, districts and smaller entities do not warrant their own articles. If there were articles on the Sindh Boy Scouts Association, for instance, those would be acceptable. Chris 01:11, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- I may revisit this, as we have Balochistan.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 14:28, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Pakistan scouts.jpg
[edit]Image:Pakistan scouts.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:Boy Scouts India Badge.jpg
[edit]The image Image:Boy Scouts India Badge.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --22:31, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Bronze Wolf
[edit]"Gen. Jafar AliKhan served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1963 to 1969. In 1969, General Ali Khan was awarded the Bronze Wolf of the World Organization of the Scout Movement by the World Scout Committee for exceptional services to world Scouting." He does not appear to be listed at List of recipients of the Bronze Wolf Award, although Niaz M. Khan is listed for the same year, 1969. Is this the same person? If not, this needs a source. It needs fixing anyway. --Bduke (Discussion) 22:35, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Apologies. It was too early in the morning. Gen. Jafar AliKhan was added as vandalism replacing Niaz M. Khan. I have now reverted the vandalism. --Bduke (Discussion) 23:29, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Merge of Balochistan Scouts Association
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result was Don't merge--Mrmatiko (talk) 12:06, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
It has been proposed that Balochistan Scouts Association be merged here but no reasons were given and no discussion was started. I am starting such a discussion now.
- Oppose merge at least until good reasons are given. We have articles on Scouting in US States, Canadian Provinces and UK Regions and so on, so it seems reasonable to have articles about Scouting in Pakistan Provinces, although this appears to be the first. So I think this article needs cleanup not merging. --Bduke (Discussion) 23:58, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose Balochistan Boy Scout Association is provincial organisation and operate as provincial/state organisation and Pakistan has four provinces so this is major article for the province scout association as this Association has done projects with UNICEF, WHO and Save The children UK etc and there are many other articles on other provinces and states scout association. so i will be okay with Clean up but merging will not be the right thing to do. (Discussion) 01:59, 13 June 2011.
- I have done some cleanup, but it badly needs external references. --Bduke (Discussion) 10:39, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose Seems equivalent to a local council for the Boy Scouts of America. -— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 23:05, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
