I am the creator of this article and would like to open a discussion as suggested by User:Animalparty. The article was written entirely by me and I have no connection whatsoever with the subject or the institution he represented. The article was part of my collaboration on WikiProject India-biographies. The removed images used were for visual identification of the major areas of the subject's expertise. Would also seek advice on how the neutrality issue may be addressed and the article tuned up to make it a better one. --jojo@nthony (talk) 07:26, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for creating this article. Most information is pretty accurate, except a few details:
1. Dr. Venugopal is no longer a bachelor. He married Ms. Priya Sarkar, daughter of Bidyut Sarkar(deceased, former editor of Economic Times) on 15th August 1996. He has a seventeen year old daughter named Saiansha. Links (dating 2010) that attest to that:
2. He is no longer working with Alchemist. For the time being, he is involved with St. Stephens Hospital, Gurgaon.
3. On October 20th, 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated Dr. P. Venugopal with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 42nd AIIMS Convocation 2014. These awards were started this year. Venugopal was the only exception to the rule that only doctors aged 75 and above would be eligible to receive this award (inside sources) Link to the article:
