New article
[edit]I created this article. It is quite amateur, and needs work. I will add more, but please contribute.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamesblythe (talk • contribs) 13:05, 13 January 2007
Eastern Catholic Churches need representation
[edit]I have tagged this article as {{globalize}} because it is skewed to the Latin or Western Church sui iuris so much that it includes nothing, no mention at all of the other 22 Churches in the Roman Catholic communion. I don't have time to add all that now, but someone knowledgeable of Orthodoxy or Byzantine or Oriental Christianity should be able to handle it. Elizium23 (talk) 11:57, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Parish in the Catholic Church → Parish (Catholic Church) – Per WP:PARENDIS, new title would read better without needing to decide plural/singular. Elizium23 (talk) 01:04, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

- Support. I almost never like to inject a parenthetical disambiguation where we can use a natural disambiguation, but in this case the natural disambiguation is awkward due to the singular vs plural issue. Rreagan007 (talk) 16:13, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

- Comment The proposed form was the original, and moved by User:PPEMES for consistency with articles about the Catholic expression of general concepts from Christianity named in this way, e.g. Prayer in the Catholic Church, Marriage in the Catholic Church, Saint Michael in the Catholic Church, Priesthood in the Catholic Church, Anointing of the Sick in the Catholic Church, and so forth.-- choster (talk) 13:39, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Do we have better arguments against WP:CONSISTENCY and WP:NATURALDISAMBIGUATION for this particular case? Until, I'm afraid I have to oppose accordingly. PPEMES (talk) 15:06, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support. Much better title than the current, which isn't at all good English. -- Necrothesp (talk) 22:48, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
