It would be more accurate to say that Route 88 once followed the Perry Highway. Perry Highway is pretty much identical to US 19 from Pittsburgh to Erie. PA 88 north of Pittsburgh was rechristened PA 65 and goes from New Castle to Pittsburgh (this is NOT the Perry Highway). I don't have time to edit this article but here is an interesting link about roads through Cranberry Township PA, including the Perry Highway. http://www.twp.cranberry.pa.us/information/history/htext7.html

Photo and image formatting needs to be reviewed and improved

[edit]

More and more photos and charts have been added to this article over the last several years, giving it an increasingly cluttered look that makes it difficult to read, particularly for people with visual impairments. At least one of these image additions appears to violate Wikipedia's Manual of Style/Accessibility standards which urge editors to "Avoid placing images on the left hand side as a consistent left hand margin makes reading easier" and "Avoid sandwiching text between two images or, unless absolutely necessary, using fixed image sizes." At this point, that image needs to be removed or repositioned to the right in an image gallery in order to bring the article back into compliance with the MOS and make it more accessible for Wikipedia users with visual impairments. - 47thPennVols (talk) 02:36, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is one image to the left in the first paragraph. The sandwiching is minimal since its a normal-size image. For article balance (as described at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images#Location, it seems acceptable. Famartin (talk) 03:02, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
