friendsorenemies.com
[edit]Hi Guys!
just letting you know I am about to publish some edits on this page, regarding early social media website friendsorenemies.com. I've added a paragraph about it - I can't find anything about it on this page, and I think its an interesting insight into how bands/celebs were using the internet to their advantage to help their fans see behind the scenes/exclusive photos etc in the mid 00s :D Priceofgas (talk) 14:43, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Personal life/Queerness
[edit]I think the personal life section should mention his sexuality. I understand it might be a bit hard to include due to his ambiguity about it, but it was a pretty prominent part of his reputation in the 2000s. Don’t have any sources on hand at the moment (sorry) but the things I’m thinking about right now are his “I’m gay above the waist” interview comment, “yeah, I am a fag” from OUT magazine, and his blogpost “Q:is Pete Wentz gay? Press 1 for yes 2 for no A: 12” (paraphrasing). Plus plenty of his lyrics can be read in a queer lens (ex. ‘Sugar’ can be read as internalized homophobia) but that’s venturing into speculation which probably isn’t appropriate for Wikipedia. I’m not too familiar with the citation guidelines on here so I haven’t felt confident enough in adding something myself, but I have thought it’s strange it’s not mentioned on here.
