Spirou 3183 - Continuing stories

[edit]

Is it certain Bercovici drew the continuing stories in issue 3183? I know Lambiek states so, but I can't find any mention on it on BD oubliées, and it's likely they would have their own separate working process and be more or less finished already before publishing: [1] 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 13:49, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see what you mean. Except for the phrase "..entièrement réalisé par Bercovici" in BDoubliées, there would be fair reason to suspect this might not include the incidental AS of Tuniques Bleues, Billy the Cat and Jojo. But then Lambiek makes a point of it, Dupuis states Bercovici did art for the entire 48 pages edition, and there is the cover statement: "tout le journal realisé..."[2]. And then there is this [3] which isn't exactly RS stating that Bercovici did illustrate Tuniques Bleues, Billy the Cat and Jojo, with chapter names corresponding to BDoubliées. Not sure where to turn for utterly irrefutable evidence but I'm a believer. deMURGH talk 23:18, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the links. Interesting. And indeed, there's no evidence to the contrary. Amazing feat, although Bercovici seems to have been a cartoonist wonderchild who was accepted as a regular Spirou contributor at only 14 years of age. I wonder if those pages of the continuing series followed over to the albums later. I think there might be an apparent style clash when read as a sequence, although it's possible Bercovici could be a style chameleon on par with Wallace Wood. I'd like to read the finished issue. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 00:52, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
He could be a chameleon like that, or a slight deviation in style was acceptable (or somehow justified by the story itself, as has been seen). If I ever come across Qui veut la peau du général? I'll certainly try to see if I can spot it. deMURGH talk 09:52, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's a sample of "Les Tuniques Bleues", here, and it clearly looks like Bercovici, and not the regular artist Lambil. [4] 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 13:20, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
